About AI Tools Insider

AI Tools Insider is an independent research site that helps you decide which AI tools you can actually trust. The market is flooded with inflated GitHub stars, manufactured reviews, and "replaces your whole team" claims. We cut through it with a transparent, data-backed scoring system instead of marketing hype.

How We Evaluate Tools

Our core output is the Trust Score — a 1–10 rating built from publicly verifiable evidence, not paid placements. Each tool is assessed across five dimensions:

Scores are derived from public data and secondary research, and every tool carries a verification date. Featured tools also receive an editorial write-up. We are transparent about our sources and full methodology on the Trust Score Methodologypage, and the underlying dataset is open at /api/tools.json.

Editorial Independence

Trust Scores and rankings are never for sale. Affiliate relationships do not influence how a tool is scored or where it ranks. When a tool carries a documented concern, we show the red flag regardless of whether we earn a commission from it.

Who Writes This

AI Tools Insider is run by yangkaisun, a real, identifiable person — with AI assistance for research aggregation and content maintenance. The judgment calls are human: every Trust Score, pricing verification, and red-flag decision is personally reviewed before publication, and every tool entry carries a verification date. We say this plainly because most AI tool sites won't: AI helps us keep 37+ tool records current; it does not decide what we recommend. No ghostwritten vendor copy, no pay-to-play placements.
